Kristina Lee is a forensic archaeologist and anthropologist with Alecto Forensic Services. In her role for Alecto Forensics she supports their casework and has provided assistance in investigations for multiple police forces and other agencies involving murder; suspicious and unnatural deaths; disaster victim identification; fatal fires; a transportation accident in international waters; missing persons; surface scatter scenes; and clandestine grave search, location, and recovery. Kristina is a Level III Forensic Anthropologist (FA-III) certified by the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland, a Associate Level (PCIfA) Archaeologist accredited by the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists, and is also a member of the Home Office Disaster Victim Identification response team for Forensic Anthropology. Kristina has previously worked as a commercial field archaeologist in the United Kingdom for Border Archaeology, and has undertaken an internship in the Forensic Science Section of the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in the Hague and volunteered as a forensic anthropologist for the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus.
The post entails making BABAO aware of developments in the broader archaeological sector and helping to ensure that BABAO views are heard to maximum effect shaping those developments. The post-holder will be a member of a major professional organisation in archaeology or other relevant discipline, or owns their own business.
